Album Info: | With the news out that the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad's Alcos are living on borrowed time, I decided to make the drive out to Lakeville, NY and get them before they're gone (reportedly it'll be 2-3 years before the new green power replaces them fully). LA&L no. 425, the last surviving New Haven C425, and LA&L no. 428, an ex-SP&S C425, were leading the northbound run from Lakeville up to Avon, where they switched the yard and worked the local Barilla plant, before continuing north to Genesee Junction. Sadly, it got too dark to shoot and chase before they came south from the interchange point at Genesee Junction. |
