Album Info:Rolling stock with road numbers starting with 30 to 39, all tank wagons. Since the two sides of all wagon types are different, I treated the side on which the vacuum pipes are mounted, or where this was not practical, the side on which the brake wheel is mounted to the left of centre, as Side B. Further, since they describe brake systems and not wagon types, I left out the letters D, L, R, V and J in the wagon letter codes. Where applicable, the various complete letter codes and new class numbers for each wagon are included in brackets in the descriptions. The meaning of these omitted letters follow below.

D in position 2, 3 or 4: Dual Power Vacuum Brakes.

L in position 2, 3 or 4: Air Brakes.

R in position 2, 3 or 4: Dual Power Air Brakes.

V in position 3 or 4: Vacuum Brakes.

J in position 2, 3 or 4: Vacuum Brakes with Rejection Lugs on Brake Shoes.

SAR Class XP-20 (Side A)
Title:  SAR Class XP-20 (Side A)
Description:  Class XP-20 (XPJ-20) wagons entered service with Iscor in 1977, designed to transport diesel oil (Iscor wagon numbers 701 to 706 and 708 to 710). They were converted for SAR service in 1983, to transport diesel oil or petrol (Jet fuel in this case).

Title:  SAR Class XP-21 (Side A) (Type 1)
Description:  The XP-21 (type 1) wagon is actually part of the X-21 group, but has been relettered to XP for use as a petrol tanker. Class X-21 (XJ-21, XP-21 type 1, XPJ-21 type 1) wagons entered service between 1958 and 1961, and between 1982 and 1984 some Class XC-5 and XS-5 wagons were also converted to Class X-21. They are designed to transport water, treacle, oil and other similar products (Petrol in this case).
