Description:
Class SM-7 (SMJ-7, SMLJ-7) wagons entered service between 1971 and 1973 and were converted from Class L-1 mechanical refrigerators in 1987. They are flat wagons with solid decks and retractable twistlocks designed to transport 8 x 5ft, 4 x 10ft, 2 x 20ft or 1 x 40ft containers. None of them have container door securing buffers.
