Description:
Class C-9 (CR-9) wagons entered service between 1970 and 1972 and are designed to transport manganese ore. Some were converted from Class C-1, C-2 and C-8 iron ore wagons in 1986 by raising the sides, while others were built full size. The type 4 wagons have channel iron bulkhead braces with wrap-around ends and were built full size.
Number range 60 124 008 to 60 156 945, Length between couplers 9.834m, Length over headstocks 8.856m, Length between bogie pivot centres 6.096m, Height 2.689m, Width 2.670m, Tare (average) 16,300kg, Load 63,000kg, Capacity 35.6m3.
