This is a railway crane Model Gottwald GS85.09T. 7 cranes were delivered 1980/1981 from Gottwald in Düsseldorf/Germany to S.A.T.S.. It was the first Gottwald railway crane model with a 3part telescopic boom. With this very short boom design, a match truck is unnecessary. In spite of the short base boom, the crane has a max. reach of 15m equivalent to 8.5m over coupler when fully telescoped. The crane was than completely new designed for the customer.
