SAR Class X-3 (Side B)         
Class X-3 (XJ-3) wagons entered service in 1971, some as built while some were converted from Class XO-6 between 1983 and 1987. They are designed to transport water, oil and other similar products (Probably diesel in this case).

Number range 30 039 045 to 30 041 198 (built as is) and 30 043 018 to 30 043 263 (converted from Class XO-6), Length between couplers 12.848m, Length over headstocks 11.964m, Length between bogie pivot centres 9.068m, Height 3.912m, Width 2.720m, Tank diameter 2.108m, Tare (average) 21,040kg, Load 38,830kg (water), 30,080kg (oil) or 33,690 (diesel oil), Capacity 40,080l (full), 38,830l (water), 40,080l (oil) and 40,110l (diesel oil).
