SAR Class CF-1 (Side A) (Type 1)         
Class CF-1 (CFL-1, CFR-1) wagons entered service as Class CC-2 wagons between 1979 and 1981 and were later reclassified to Class CF-1. They are open wagons designed to transport coal. The type 1 wagons have offset sides with ribbed upper side edges. This one wears the Transnet Freight Rail emblem.
