This Deluxe Carriage was originally built as a Type C-4 carriage for the Blue Train with an interior layout of, from the left, the attendant's toilet and coupe, two compartments to sleep two each, two coupes to sleep one each, two compartments to sleep two each, one coupe to sleep one, and a passengers’ toilet. After a collision at Deelfontein on 26 October 2005 it was rebuilt into a Deluxe carriage with, from the left, a butler’s cabin, three twin bed suites with en-suite showers and toilets, and one double bed suite with an en-suite bath and toilet.
