I wonder if UP left a couple of gallon cans of grey and a quart of red with a note saying "Don't paint the loco" the neighbourhood morons would actually paint the loco?

this is one reason that railroad police stop and question anyone, or tell them to move along when the real fan/photographer trys to get a picture, even thou they are not the culprits that do this kind of stuff. I very rarely seen this during the steam era.
