SAR Class S-19 (Side B) (Type 2)         
Class S-19 (SLJ-19, SW-19, SWLJ-19) (Type 2) wagons entered service between 1974 and 1975. They are reclassified Class SM-8 (SMLJ-8) container flat wagons that were modified to carry steel coils. Class SM-8 wagons were converted in 1988 from Class OZ-12 wagons. They are flat wagons with solid decks and flip-over twistlocks designed to transport 8 x 5ft, 4 x 10ft, 2 x 20ft or 1 x 40ft containers. The Class S-19 (type 2) has a welded on centre coil nest and two twistlock-attached removable end coil nests.
