SAR Class SC-2 (Side B) (Type 3)         
Class SC-2 (SCL-2, SCLV-2) wagons entered service between 1973 and 1974 as open top double deck motor car transporter wagons. Most were rebuilt to enclosed wagons some time after 1991. The upper deck appears to be height adjustable to accommodate higher than normal vehicles like minibuses and pickup trucks. Type 3 wagons have narrower shunter's stirrups below the brake wheels than the type 1 and 2 wagons.
