SAR Class SP-1 (Side A)         
Class SP-1 (SPJ-1, SPLJ-1) wagons entered service between 1974 and 1977. They were converted from Class D-1 and D-2 wagons in 1988, and are bulkhead flat wagons with canvas covers designed to transport paper rolls. The canvas cover supports are slid to one end of the wagon for loading and unloading.
