SAR Class NAY-7 (Side A) (Type 2)         
Class NAY-7 (AY-7) wagons entered service between 1960 and 1962. They are open hoppers designed to transport ballast. Since they are in non-revenue service, they are all gradually being relettered to Class NAY. The Type 2 wagons have their channel iron side braces mounted with the lip sides facing inwards.
