Title:  SAR Class SW-19 (ex SM-8) (Side B)
Description:  Class SW-19 (S-19, SLJ-19, SWLJ-19) wagons entered service between 1974 and 1975. They are reclassified Class SM-8 (SMLJ-8) container flat wagons that were modified to carry steel coils. Class SM-8 wagons were converted in 1988 from Class OZ-12 wagons. They are flat wagons with solid decks and flip-over twistlocks designed to transport 8 x 5ft, 4 x 10ft, 2 x 20ft or 1 x 40ft containers. The Class SW-19 has a welded on centre coil nest and two twistlock-attached removable end coil nests.

Numbers allocated from the range 17 011 000 to 17 059 992, Length between couplers 13.074m, Length over headstocks 12.190m, Length between bogie pivot centres 9.290m, Deck height (before modification) 1.118m, Width 2.440m, Tare (average, before modification) 17,000kg, Load 48,000kg, Deck area 29.7m2.
