Description:  Class NPS-2 wagons entered service between 1936 and 1976. They were converted from Class DZ-7 wagons between 1960 and 1984 and are used in 15 wagon sets to transport 216m welded rail lengths.

Number range 94 040 001 to 94 042 179, 94 043 922 to 94 044 481 and 94 120 005 to 94 121 826 (this wagon is numbered outside these number ranges), Length between couplers 14.752m, Length over headstocks 13,868m, Length between bogie pivot centres 10.058m, Height 3.036m, Deck height 1.060m, Width 2.438m, Tare (average) 19,100kg (per wagon) or 286,500kg (per consist), Load 39,000kg (per wagon) or 585,000kg (per consist).

Title:  SAR Class 6E1 E1658 (Series 6)
Description:  Between 1975 and 1977 the South African Railways placed one hundred Class 6E1, Series 6 electric locomotives in mainline service, numbered in the range from E1646 to E1745. It was designed and built by Union Carriage and Wagon in Nigel, Transvaal, with the electrical equipment supplied by the General Electric Company (GEC). The Series 6 and Series 7 locomotives are visually indistinguishable from each other, but can be distinguished from earlier series models by their rainwater beadings above the small grilles on the sides just to the right of the side doors.
