Title:  SAR Derailment
Description:  It could probably have been worse if the train had rolled over to the left and rolled down the slope..... Most of the bent rails have already been cut up and removed.

SAR Derailment
Title:  SAR Derailment
Description:  The newly laid track is kinky since there's still a hole on the side of the roadbed that needs to be filled in before the track can be straightened, welded and ballasted. The four locos are still lying where they fell, except the lead loco, which had to be dragged aside to clear the roadbed.

Description:  Finally back on its "feet" again, the lead loco of the foursome awaits a decision on its fate. It will probably be taken to the Transwerk shops in Bloemfontein for repairs.
