SAR Sheathed Combine (Side A)
These sheathed wooden commuter coaches disappeared from South African rails during the 1960s and 1970's, gradually getting replaced by all metal coaches with driver controlled sliding doors. Its interior layout is, from left, a first class compartment, toilets on both sides of a short passage with an interconnecting door to a second class compartment, a baggage compartment with two double doors on each side, and the conductor's cabin.
