SAR Class NZ (Side B) (ex FB-2)
Class NZ wagons are various types of wagons that were either purpose built or reclassified for use in non-revenue service. This is a Class FB-2 wagon that entered service between 1965 and 1968 and that was converted from a Class GZ-9 livestock wagon between 1983 and 1984. It has had its wood sides replaced with sheet metal and was equipped with end doors and a headlight on one end. Apparently it also used to have a platform hoist installed at one of the doors.

Number range 94 800 006 to 94 808 376 and 94 820 007 to 94 999 997 (this one is numbered outside this range, and correctly in the Class NV range where it belongs as part of a breakdown train), Length between couplers 13.076m, Length over headstocks 12.192m, Length between bogie pivot centres 8.230m, Height 3.464m, Width (before modification) 2.438m, Tare (average, before modification) 19,700kg, Load 29,000kg, Floor area 28.7m2, Capacity 59.4m3.
