SAR Class NW (Side B) (ex DZ, Type 2)         
Class NW wagons entered service between 1936 and 1967 and are wheel carrying wagons that were either purpose built or converted from Class DZ, Class DZA or Class SB-6 wagons in 1969 or later. This one was converted from a Class DZ or Class DZA wagon to carry Class 5E, 6E, 6E1, 7E and 7E1 locomotive wheels. The type 2 wagons have channel iron outside braces on their bulkheads.

Number range 94 100 004 to 94 101 868, Length between couplers 14.752m, Length over headstocks 13.868m, Length between bogie pivot centres 10.058m, Height 2.295m, Width 2.426m, Tare (average) 22,310kg, Load 33,000kg.
