SAR Class NAY-6 (Side B) (Type 2)         
Class NAY-6 (AY-6) wagons entered service in 1957. They are open hoppers designed to transport ballast. Since they are in non-revenue service, they are all gradually being relettered to Class NAY. The Type 2 wagons have their channel iron side braces mounted with the lip sides facing inwards.

Number range 69 017 018 to 69 021 392, Length between couplers 14.600m, Length over headstocks 13.716m, Length between bogie pivot centres 9.754m, Height 2.470m, Width 2.499m, Tare (average) 22,990kg, Load 46,000kg, Capacity 28.3m3.
