Class Z-1 wagons entered service between 1943 and 1954 and were converted in 1969 from Class DZ-7 dzopside open wagons. They were used to transport motor cars and were used with the White Train, which was originally built to carry King George VI and the Royal Family during the Royal Visit to the Southern African colonies in 194*.
