Album Info:Rolling stock with road numbers starting with 80 to 89 - Boxcars, Grain Boxcars and Covered Hoppers. Since the two sides of all wagon types are different (with two exceptions, one of them in this album), I treated the side on which the vacuum pipes are mounted, or where this was not practical, the side on which the brake wheel is mounted to the left of centre, as Side B. In the case of the Class FG-1 hoppers, I treated the side on which the centre bay's opening mechanism protrudes towards the right as side B. With the Class FG-2 hoppers there is no obvious visual difference between the two sides except for the roof hatches, so even though the hatches are often not readily visible from the ground, I treated the hinged or hatch rest side as side B. Further, since they describe brake systems and not wagon types, I left out the letters D, L, R, V and J in the wagon letter codes. Where applicable, the various complete letter codes and new class numbers for each wagon are included in brackets in the descriptions. The meaning of these omitted letters follow below.

D in position 2, 3 or 4: Dual Power Vacuum Brakes.

L in position 2, 3 or 4: Air Brakes.

R in position 2, 3 or 4: Dual Power Air Brakes.

V in position 3 or 4: Vacuum Brakes.

J in position 2, 3 or 4: Vacuum Brakes with Rejection Lugs on Brake Shoes.

Description:  Class FZ-7 (FZD-7, FZJ-7, FZLJ-7, FZFJ-7) wagons entered service between 1964 and 1965 and are designed to transport grain. Loading is done through four roof hatches, and unloading either through the two doors on each side or through the end hatches by tilting the wagon about 30 degrees on its end. The type 1 wagons have ribbed roofs. This one wears the Spoornet emblem.
